Day 1 Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes
Early morning or Afternoon we will pick you up at the door of your hotel and transfer to a 1.5 hr bus ride which will take us through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will pass by pastures, plantations and native peoples in their daily routine and notice the air's oxygen content improve as we reach Ollantaytambo. There you'll continue your journey as we transfer to our Tour Train which will take us to Aguas Calientes which sits just below Machu Picchu. From Ollantaytambo we take the train which descends into the jungle on narrows passing through a deep gorge while the Urubamba River rushes by. This train ride is top-notch! After about 1.5 hrs of dramatic mountain scenery we arrive in the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town) where our guide is waiting at the train station. After you arrive in Aguas Calientes you'll have time to visit the Hotsprings or Explore more of Machu Picchu (Montana Ticket optional). You'll have the night to get to know the quaint town of Aguas Calientes which sits just below Machu Picchu. Your hostal is included.

Day 2 Machu Picchu - Cusco
From Aguas Calientes you'll take a bus which does switchbacks up to Machu Picchu. Your tour guide will explain about Machu Picchu for about 1.5 hours giving insight on Machu Picchu's construction and answering any questions. Lunch is for you to decide. We suggest you bring something with you or pay the hefty prices at Century Lodge. After your guided tour you'll have is free time for another 2 hours to enjoy the ruins and the amazing, almost 360 degree view of the canyon before heading back down to Aguas Calientes. You'll board the train and sit back and relax for another fantastic train trip back to Ollantaytambo. Then you'll transfer to your hotel by bus.
