Machu Picchu Full Day by train is the shortest tour available to Machu Picchu while still allowing nearly a full day to visit the ruins. You also have the opportunity to experience the incredible train ride. Sit back and relax as we coast down into the andean jungle.
This trip involves a bus - train - bus transfer. Some may find it difficult walking around Machu Picchu during the tour.
Expedition train, bus tickets and entrance included, lunch is not included.
Minimal physical walking. Huayna Picchu can be considered moderate to strenuous for some. Machu Picchu is not yet wheelchair accessible.

Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes
Early morning we will pick you up at the door of your hotel and transfer to a 1.5 hr bus ride which will take us through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will pass by pastures, plantations and native peoples in their daily routine and notice the air's oxygen content improve as we reach Ollantaytambo. There we continue our journey as we transfer to our Tour Train which will take us to Aguas Calientes which sits just below Machu Picchu.From Ollantaytambo we take the train which descends into the jungle on narrows passing through a deep gorge while the Urubamba River rushes by. This train ride is fantastic! After about 1.5 hrs of dramatic mountain scenery we arrive in the town of Aguas Calientes "Machu Picchu Town" where our guide is waiting at the train station.

Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes
From Aguas Calientes we take a bus which does switchbacks up to Machu Picchu. Your tour guide will explain about Machu Picchu for about 1.5 hours giving us insight on Machu Picchu's purpose and answering any questions. Lunch is for you to decide. We suggest you bring something with you or pay the hefty prices at Century Lodge. After your guided tour you'll have is free time for another 2 hours to enjoy the ruins and the amazing, almost 360 degree view of the canyon before heading back down to Aguas Calientes.

Ollantaytambo - Cusco
Leaving Machu Picchu we'll return to Aguas Calientes by bus then we'll meet at the train station. We'll board the train and sit back and relax for another fantastic train trip back to Ollantaytambo. Then we'll transfer to your hotel by bus.
