Enjoy 2 peaceful nights on the Island of Amantani with Diametrio and Paula in their house overlooking Lake Titcaca. Tour the floating islands of Uros and nearby Taquile. Choose from horseback riding, a walking tour, fishing and nightly traditional dances on Amantani.
This trip is by boat with very little to no walking. Bus transfers from your hotel or bus terminal to the port are included.

Day 1 is a pooled tour of Uros and Taquile. Amantani is a private tour and private house stay.
This is a very private way to experience Lake Titicaca, although other tour groups may also be visiting. Extended stays available.
Day 1 Puno - Uros - Amantani
The floating islands of Uros are made and re-made from the totora reeds which provide home, sustenance and transportation for their residents. About a two hour boat ride from Puno, on the Peruvian side of the lake, the largest of about 40 islands and the main destination is the island of Santa María. These floating islands are the home of the Uros tribe, one which pre-dates the Incan civilization. After a scenic 2 hr boat ride we reach Taquile Island where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people who are world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings. After lunchyou'll meet your host and guide for the next 2 days, Diametrio. Together you will take a motorboat to the Island of Amantani. There, he will introduce you to his wife Paula and show you to your room with it's beautiful panoramic views of the pueblo and vast Lake Titcaca. This afternoon you'll have the opportunity to trek to the top of the mountain (4150 m.a.s.l) to see the Temples of the Pachamama and Pachatata. Night on Amantani.

Day 2 Amantani
After breakfast choose between horseback riding or a guided walking tour from your community of Ocosuyo to Incatiana and to an Incan lookout and rock carving which overlooks Titcaca and Taquile. Diametrio will each you to spot local crops along the way such as Muña, Quinua, Choclo, Lentils, Potato, and Herbs. The locals use these plants for tea and Chairo soup. After lunch at the house you can return to the beach for a cold dip in the lake or relax at the house. BLD included.

Day 3 Amantani - Puno
After breakfast try fishing or take a cool dip in the lake before your return on the local boat back to Puno.
