These 14 days begin in Lima and continue south to the Paracas Reserve and Islas Ballestas. From the coast you'll continue inland through the desert and stop in at the Huacachina oasis before arriving in Nazca. After a flight over the Nazca Lines you'll visit the Chauchilla cemetery where you can witness Nazca mummies in pristine condition. Afterwards, you'll continue on to Arequipa, Chivay and Colca Canyon to see condors in flight. From Arequipa you'll take the bus to Puno to see the floating Uros Islands and Amantani and Taquile Islands before arriving in Cusco to see the city's amazing ruins and exploring Cusco's Sacred Valley. Finally you'll experience Machu Picchu by train as a finale to this awesome adventure.
This trip involves travel by plane, boat, tour bus and train and 2 to 3 star hotels. Some light walking is required at the ruins.

Day 7 Chivay - Condor Sighting - 4M Bus Tour to Puno
Leaving Chivay you'll see colonial towns and terraced Inca ruins on the way to the famous viewpoint called "Cruz Condor". Here, we have the morning to appreciate the Condors in flight over thermal vents. Returning to Chivay catch the 1 pm guided bus tour by "4M" and sit back and relax until Puno and your hotel.

Day 8 Uros and Amantani Islands (Puno)
This morning you'll transfer from your hostal to the port where you will continue by motor boat 30 mins to the legendary Uros Islands. Here you can walk along the floating reeds. From Uros and after another 2.5 hr boat ride through Lake Titicaca you'll reach Amantani Island where you will stay with a local family for the night. Expect the authentic food, music and dance of the Puno people. Meals are included.

Day 9 Taquile Island - Night in Puno
After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile Island, where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, after lunch we take the return trip to Puno. Arrival in the afternoon and transfer back to your hotel approx 4 pm.

Day 11 Free Time - Afternoon City Tour of Cusco's Ruins
Enjoy free time in the morning to relax or explore Cusco's San Pedro Market, Plaza de Armas or Museums. From 2pm - 7pm you'll visit Cusco's major ruins beginning at Qoricancha followed by the caves of Q'enqo, Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and Puka Pukara. Night in Cusco "El Balcon" (or similar).

Day 12 Sacred Valley Tour - Night in Ollantaytambo
After a solid night's rest and a bit of acclimation to the altitude you will feel up for seeing Cusco's Sacred Valley. We'll spend the whole day there seeing the ruins of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. We'll have some shopping time in Pisaq's big artesanal market and have a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba. The day concludes in Ollantaytambo in the afternoon with time to rest or explore the town. Night in Ollantaytambo.

Day 13 Train to Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco
This morning we will board our train to Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu (1.5 hrs). After arrival in Aguas Calientes we will go by bus up to Machu Picchu Citadel. After a complete guided tour (2 hrs) we'll have free time to take photos for another 2 hrs before returing to Aguas Calientes by bus. We will return to Cusco by train arriving at night.
